Missouri University of Science and Technology’s Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering programs have continued their upward trajectory in the 2025 U.S. News & World Report graduate rankings.
The Aerospace Engineering program rose to No. 40 nationally, up from No. 41 last year, marking a continued ascent from No. 50 two years ago. This improvement underscores the department’s commitment to enhancing its curriculum, expanding research capabilities, and strengthening industry partnerships.
The Mechanical Engineering program advanced to No. 60, up from No. 63 in 2024, reflecting the program’s ongoing dedication to academic excellence and innovation.
These rankings highlight Missouri S&T’s emphasis on experiential learning, interdisciplinary research, and industry collaboration, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to tackle future engineering challenges.
These advancements coincide with Missouri S&T’s elevation to R-1 research university status by the Carnegie Foundation, recognizing the university’s high level of research activity. Additionally, Missouri S&T has been ranked No. 49 (tie) among public universities for graduate engineering programs, up four spots from last year, and No. 81 (tie) among all universities nationally.
