We’re thrilled to announce that three out of this year’s six OURE Fellows are from Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Missouri S&T! Congratulations to Allie Dingfield, Carter Lawson, and Aidan Sengupta for earning this prestigious recognition.
The OURE Fellows Program is a competitive opportunity awarded to students who have previously completed an OURE (Opportunities for Undergraduate Research Experience) project and wish to continue their research. Applicants must prepare a detailed proposal and present their work to a panel of judges. Only the most outstanding projects are selected for the fellowship, which includes a $2,000 scholarship for the 2025-2026 academic year.
The purpose of the OURE Fellows Program is to enhance the quality of experiential learning at Missouri S&T. Funding is made available specifically to support interdisciplinary research projects—those that combine two or more academic disciplines or fields of study—encouraging collaboration and innovation across traditional academic boundaries.
This year’s competition was especially rigorous, with numerous compelling submissions. We’re proud that our students’ presentations stood out for their clarity, innovation, and research potential.
Well done, Allie, Carter, and Aidan! We look forward to seeing where your research takes you next.
