MAE faculty and staff honored with CEC awards

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering proudly announces that several of its faculty and staff members were honored during the College of Engineering and Computing‘s Fall 2025 awards ceremony.

Faculty Awards:

  • Dean’s Educator Award: Dr. Phillip Mulligan, Assistant Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, was honored for his excellence in teaching, his visionary approach to curriculum innovation, and his tireless advocacy for student development.

Staff Awards:

  • Team Impact Award: Kyle Stagner, ​Research Consultant for MAE, was honored for his exceptional service to the department and fellow staff.
  • Loyalty Award: ​Dr. Stephen Haug, ​Manager I Business Administration for MAE, received this award for his diligent work and dedication to the NASA-Missouri Space Grant Consortium, which has made its successes possible for more than twenty years.
  • Peer-to-Peer Award: ​Shelly Morgan, ​Office Support Assistant IV for MAE, was recognized for her willingness and ability to take on extra responsibilities when needed and get the job done.
