The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is proud to announce that Joshua Gary, a senior in aerospace engineering from Lake St. Louis, Missouri, has presented his research titled “New Testing Capabilities of the Missouri University of Science and Technology Supersonic Wind Tunnel” at the annual Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol on April 4.
Gary’s research, which focuses on enhancing the capabilities of Missouri S&T’s supersonic wind tunnel, aims to push the boundaries of aerospace testing and design. Under the guidance of Dr. Davide Vigano, assistant professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering, this project represents a significant step forward in the university’s contributions to the aerospace field.
The Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol is an opportunity for students from across Missouri to demonstrate how their research addresses important issues and contributes to the welfare of the state. Gary’s work, which allows for more precise and efficient aerodynamic tests, not only underscores the high level of innovation at Missouri S&T but also demonstrates the practical applications of student research in real-world engineering challenges.
